I cannot praise this album enough. This album is absolutely terrifying! The many starts and stops creates this very h settling tension. Each start expands on the stopper idea previously. It’s like the music equivalent of walking through thick fog while passing out multiple times throughout trying to find a place to orientate yourself. Despite the attempts to memoryhole this piece, my father managed to snag a copy of Mr Smith in Rhodesia on reel to reel in the early seventies. I would have been around seven or eight when I first heard this pastiche and was given the context of what it was about. Powerful stuff and I'm glad it finally saw the light of day in this release.
